Rows 3-4. 1sc in each st.
Rows 5-6. 1sc in 4sts, ch1 & turn.
Row 7. 1sc in FLO of 4sts,  1sc, 1sc in the FLO of 6sts, 1sc.
Row 8. 1sc in each st, until it's the height you want. If your making the tennis shoe change to white to make the shocks. To make the white bottom of the shoe repeat rows 1-4 then wk 1sc in 4sts (this makes the toe) ch1 & turn repeat until it's the length of the shoe. Sew bottom of the shoe to foot.
Change to tan and make the legs by working 1sc in each st around until the leg is about 6 or 7inches.
On the sailor out-fit she has white bloomer's under her dress. As you work your way up the leg on this doll, change to white yarn for the last 4 rows. I made them like this because the yarn is thick and it made the legs to far apart. This way you just fold the ruffle over and it looks like bloomer's. Secure with needle & thread.

Row 2. 1sc in 8, 2sc in 2sts, 1sc in 8, 2sc in 2.
Row 3. 1sc in 8, 2sc in 2, 1sc in 8.
Row 4. 2sc in 2, 1sc in 8, 2sc in 2, 1sc in 10.

Rows 6-13. repeat row 5, wk 1sc until you get to one of the corners and FO.
For the red handle ch19, wk 1sc in each st and FO. Sew onto each side of bag.
To make the Red closure strap:
Attach red yarn to the back of bag with a sl st, leave 4sts on each side of bag, attach yarn and wk 1sc in 6sts, ch1 & turn. Repeat until the strap reaches over the front of the bag. Make the button whole, I chained  4 or 5 and worked 1sl st to the other side of strap and FO. Sew a button on in center of bag and button it closed.
To make the White closure trap:
Ch11
Row 1. 1sc in 9sts, 3sc in the last st, working on the other side wk 1sc in 9sts and FO. Leave 3sts in the front of bag unworked. Attach Red yarn and wk  1backwards sc all the way around, stopping when you reach the 3 unworked sts and FO. Sew the strap closure to the back of the bag. Hot glue or sew a button on. With Red and Blue yarn make a ch long enough to go from one of the bag to the other, sew in place.

To make the pink cheeks, I used a thimble, it's the perfect size. I hot glued them in place. Make a smile and sew on 2 black buttons for eyes. Don't forget the eyelashes...I forgot to put them on my blue girl.
